Hello readers! This day, I just want to share a story about my wedding day which is held on August 25th 2019. I always postpone writing about this. So, this time, I’ll try to make it.
I prepared my wedding day in only
5 months. For some people, this is a very short period of time. Especially, for
who wants to celebrate their wedding in Jakarta, it will be harder to select the
venue. Almost every venue is full booked. Absolutely, venue with large capacity
and low price was booked a year before.
Wedding day, in my case, is not only
my day, or my husband’s day, but also our families day. For me and my husband,
it is not a problem to make our wedding day as simple as it could be. But, for
our parents who have many relation and colleague, it is very important to book
a large capacity building so that we can invite many people. So, we couldn’t be
stubborn to make it only what we want, but we also have to make sure that our parents
and also our families will be comfortable in every decision we make.
My wedding held in LIPI building
which is located in Gatot Subroto, South Jakarta. This building honestly is an
old building, but the ballroom got some renovations that made it luxurious. The
capacity can be maximized until 1500 people. I’m very grateful that I was
married before pandemic. Because for me, wedding day can be a precise time for
reunion with our big families and friends. I also was very satisfied that I chose
HIS as our wedding organizer (WO). They are very communicative and professional.
I also recommend you some vendors
that helped in my wedding day. Puspita Sawargi as the catering vendor which is
also one of the famous wedding catering in my country. They have an affordable
prices, delicious foods, and professional crews. They worked very tidy and made
sure every dining-tables and food stalls were clean during the event. They regulated
the food nicely so the foods were quite enough for every guests. Our families
and friends adore their delicious food so much.
Beside wedding catering, we also helped
by Oemah72 as the decoration vendor. Actually, Oemah72 have a specialty in modern
wedding decoration, but when we asked to give a traditional touch in the
decoration, they could make it into traditional yet a bit modern decoration which
was quite beautiful. I forget to mention that in the early we decided to make
our wedding to be a national nuance, but because our parents would make it
traditional, so we had to change our decision in the final. So, the vendor that
we have booked must adapt with the change.
Sangrida Sriwijaya was our vendor
for make up and attire. It has a specialty in South Sumatera traditional
wedding attire. Because my husband and I came from the same ethnic which are Palembangnese
and Javanese, we combined these two traditional customs in our wedding day.
Javanese custom for akad, and Palembangnese custom for the reception. We also
helped by my aunty who have wedding custom rent which have a specialty in Javanese
custom.
For the documentation, we chose
story machine. They made some beautiful pictures and videos for our wedding
day. And for the entertainment, we chose Taman Music Entertainment which made our
event more exciting. Beside them, we bought
a couple custom ring from Jewellery Anda and bought a beautiful jewellery box
from Cameoframe Bandung.
For me, preparing a wedding day
is a tiring yet pleasant experience. I’m also very thankful to my families who
supported anything in this preparation. Hopefully, your preparation for your
big day will be easy and enjoyable too.
